How do you check eng # with Vin #

Iam curious if my new to me Boxster has its original engine is there a way to confirm engine number with the Vin #...Thanks

Try contacting the Service Mgr of your local Porsche dealer. They may be able to tell you the serial # of the original engine. I have gotten that info twice from my dealer.
