718 Tail Lights on my 986

Hey everyone! Long time lurker of the forums but I haven't made an account until now. I found these brand new tail lights a few weeks ago that were just released for the 986. It is an exact replica of the 718 boxster/cayman tail lights but inside of the 986 tail light housing. I fell in love the second I saw them. Put them on my car and I am absolutely amazed. Took a good 15 years off my 99 Boxster lol. I've got a ton of compliments just within the first day! I took some pics and video for you guys.

Some local guys on the PCA Facebook page have installed those. They have complained about somewhat poor fit, and excess wiring/wrong labeling issues, but overall were pleased.

I think they look really great, and they do make the car look a lot newer.

Do you have a link to the vendor?

And yes, kudos for having the top down in the snow!

Yes of course, I bought a convertible for a reason!! Haha. I've even had the top down while it was snowing a few times. And thank you! I absolutely love how the lights transformed the car.

In terms of fitment there is just the tiniest of gaps around the top portion of the light housing where it meets the body panel. I wouldn't have noticed if I didn't have the oem light right next to it to compare. I didn't have any issue with excess wiring or labeling either as you can see from the video. Here is where I bought it from, the vender is Xtreme Motorcars http://www.vendio.com/stores/www.xtrememotorcars.com/item/car-truck-parts-tail-lights/porsche-986-boxster-718-style-/lid=48918322

that looks awesome, no doubt.
The blinkers seem a little "dim", but I know how difficult it is to capture rear lights with a camera.
Any idea if the fog light is working?

Thanks! Definitely the way the camera captured it. In person it's much brighter. I think I've read that these don't have fog lights but I haven't tried it out for myself.
