After replacing several front suspension components, I took may car to a nearby Mr Tire for an alignment. The guy said I had seized control arms in the rear and couldn't adjust but he got my front tow in spec. I had to cut out one rear toe control arm but everything else was still free. After all this I wanted get my alignment somewhere in the ballpark before driving 20 miles to my usual mechanic.
I had some down time waiting for parts and a lot of time off during the holidays so I put together some alignment tools based on some aluminum extrustions, a laser level, and 3D printed parts. I devised this method years ago when I was swapping alignment specs for autocrossing. Basically you mount the laser level on one wheel and a target grid on the other end to check front and rear against each other. I added a phone holder for camber. The "bubble level" apps you can get these days are really good.
This method allows you to see everly minute toe angle change as you adjust.
