On my '02 with memory seats (must have for this feature), the ignition has to be on and
car in reverse
when you store the memory set ("M" + #), then it will droop when you put in in reverse from then on

My wife's Mercedes has this feature. It does a good job when backing out of the garage.
Remeber the days of "curb feelers"?

I remember Curb feelers on my Grandmas Giant light green pontiac....she even had those replaced every year when they would begin to rust.

Also had this on my 98 BMW 528 and my 2005 BMW X3.
dbth, do I have this on my car? I don't think I do. Was this an option combined with the rain sensing wipers or the electronic memory seats? Thanks.

I bet I don't have it since I do not have the memory/electric seats. I'll get a set of chrome curb feelers instead!
Or maybe I'll have the curb feelers painted carrara white by bumperglugs!
