No doubt the overall values are pretty stable. We all assume there are “tons” out there, but given there were only 164k 986s (standard and S) total produced worldwide, that doesn’t pan out to huge amounts. It would be very interesting to see what the death rate is for our cars these days. Keep in mind, the 356 was considered a throw away in the early 70’s...

Think of this, there have been 350,000 Macans alone delivered since 2014. 164k over both iterations of 986s over 8 years isn’t exactly a huge number...

I had no idea the number of Macans was that high. We were considering (ok, my wife was) a Macan, but maybe now back to another Audi Q5...or SQ5. I did just see a teaser for the new Q8, but I bet that's just going to be crazy priced. BTW, has anyone heard about the new laser headlights Audi will be using? It appears not in the US (or at least for awhile).

Laser Headlights....remember waaay back when just full LED lights were cool? I want want want...just so I can say I have laser headlights.

Yeah, pretty crazy. I was reading both a market report and updated info on the "new" Macan. Porsche profits were 4.8 billion/16.4% or something like that. I would say the company is pretty healthy. And to think our little runners were what turned the corner for the company is kinda cool.
