It was a 986 option, I think XNN, although it might have been a special request from the original owner. Here's an old picture that shows them, you can see the stitching on the back of the fin, the adjustment lever and open/close wheel are also leather. My 986 has zero plastic panels anywhere on the dash.

Awesome, incredibly time consuming to manufacture I imagine. Must have been an expensive option.

Wow, those are really nice! Never heard of that option on an original 986.
