Opening either trunk makes both illuminate. Your front latch switch is acting up or bad.

I second the acting up/bad front latch switch. Mine frunk light 8/10 won't fire up. A couple swats on the latch, and it illuminates.

Didn't know opening either end lit up the other, too. Interesting.

I did not know this. For winter storage, I have been leaving the frunk ajar with the bulb removed...have I been burning the trunk light for 6 months at a time? And should I be removing the trunk bulb as well?

Grrrrrr. This is something that should be on a sticker in big bold letters inside the frunk and trunk.

No, the lights shut off after a while. I've never checked to see how long, but they don't stay on indefinitely.

Don’t quote me, but I’m pretty sure I read in the owners manual that the light will go out after 30 minutes.
