This is a sticky problem (no pun intended) well, maybe a little. Anyway, I chose the route of stripping all of my softtouch material off of the parts; arm rests, door latch covers, mirror covers, center consoles, door sills, seat adjustment plates etc. A MAJOR pain.

I chose to finish the arm rests and door latch covers in leather (looks really nice). I sprayed the seat adjustment plates with Plasti-Dip which looks very close to the original sticky finish. For the rest I coated them with a nano coating which has held up very well. The only issue I had after stripping the parts was that they were different shades of black. Subtle but still different. I like not having the finish on the parts much better than the sticky mess.
