Clogged washer nozzles?

I have owned my 99 Boxster for a couple of weeks and went to spray my windshield this morning for the first time. Nothing happened. The tank is full and I can hear the pump but no juice. My guess is that the jets are plugged but it seemed odd that both are completely blocked. Have any of you had this issue? What ended up being the problem? If it is the nozzles, how did you go about cleaning them? I don’t want to stick a wire in there and risk damaging the hoses if there is a better way.
