Reus 18.2 System Installed
Well I finally completed my Reus System. I now have their top end system in my Boxster. Total System cost came about to about $5,000.00. I have to say this system is absolutely amazing. I have an 8" sub in the passenger foot well which 9/10 people will not see and a 10" Sub inside the spare tire in a sealed box that is ported to the cabin. The 8" gives me most of what I hear with super tight bass and the 10" really fills in the lows nicely. They installed two tweeters in my rear view mirror, Tweeters in the dash, and 6.5" speakers in the doors that deliver awesome mid bass. Also two speakers in the rear storage box right in the center.
All of this is driven by 3 amps that are tiny. I have almost just as much use out of my front trunk as I did before I put anything in. Car sounds almost like a recording studio. Every note and every key can be heard perfectly and so cleanly.
Anyone who has a chance to put in one of their system should. If I could do it all over again I wouldn’t have it any other way.
If anyone lives in the LA area and wants to hear what it sounds like is more than welcome to pm me.
~James~

Sweet!
I'm sure it sounds sick.
What many people don't undestand is that a nice (expensive) 50 watt amp can sound waaayy better, and produce deeper, clearer sound than an inexpensive 1000 watt amp.
Post some pics of what we can't see ; )

Definitly, I think this complete system, including subs and all, runs maybe maybe 600watts total.
As for the pictures, I promised Rick Reus that I won't post pictures of the install on the internet. Sorry.

According to him there have been a lot of fake Reus Systems being advertised on forums. Not saying anyone on our wonderful forum would attempt it, but out of respect to his request i wont do it. Anyone around LA that would like to check it out is more than welcome to.

i love base. i love music also for that matter.
i'm gonna have to consider your set-up.

I am considering getting a custom made fiberglass enclosure for behind the passenger seat. I talked with my shop and they said it's be like $400-500, but then I could fit a jl w1 12 with minimal leg rooms loss.

Just make sure the sub can "breathe" or else your gonna get some crappy sound. I have yet to see a good sounding install in a boxster with subs behind the seats and ive been looking at systems for A WHILE.

I know, they get so many cubic feet of packing peanuts and fill the enclosure to make sure its the right size. With fiberglass you can make every nook and cranny part of the box so it should work. When I sell my system I might use the money for that.

Wow, I would sure love to listen to your system when I get a chance to visit Cali. I checked out Eslai pics on the finish and they were awesome.
Could you explain more about fitting 10 inch sub in the spare tire area? How loud/strong is the punch of the bass from the front trunk?

From my understanding from Reus is all porsches are designed for Left and Right hand drive. So the use the right side of the car and port the sub into the front cabin. There is actually a long port that is inside the cabin. It functions with the 8" inside the cabin to give supper tight and deep bass.
