Troubleshooting inoperable top...

I tried to put down my top today and pretty much nothing happened (on my birthday of all days). Unclipped it, pressed the button, had no noise or anything. I tried pressing in and out the sensor where the clip is incase it got stuck but no luck. I've never had any trouble with it before. Any advice on troubleshooting this would be highly appreciated.

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

Just a suggestion as to something else to check ... since the handbrake has to be on to lower the top, any chance there is a handbrake sensor of some sort that is malfunctioning?

That sounds like a possibility... I'll have to check that. I also didn't know if there was maybe a fuse or something simple to check.
