WELCOME Back Season 2018
Hey guys, just wanted to touch base with everyone and say welcome back to another great season 2018 of Boxster Driving! Its nice to get the car back out of storage and start to clean it up... even though we still have a foot or more of snow out there it feels good.
Question - has anyone found a good way to patch a crack in the rear plastic window at the point where the window folds? The crack is on the far left side against the stitching area and to the right of it.

I cracked mine in what sounds like the same spot while doing maintenance last winter.
I ended up using this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DZDCNS/
It has held up very well and does a great job at sealing out water & wind, but it is a very visibly a patch.
Also - it's pretty cloudy, which doesn't bother me since my patch is along the side of the window.

Do you apply this patch on the outside of the plastic window or from the inside?

I did both - started by cutting the outside strip to follow the contour of the window corner, then flipped it over to cut the inside strip to mirror it.
You may be able to get away with just the outside, but the directions recommend doing both.

I had a vertical cut in my plastic window a few years ago. I used black duct tape along the edge as the cut was close to the top fabric. It actually didn't look terrible. I've since replaced the top but the tape solution is doable.

I haven't had the need myself (knock on wood) but I would try clear Gorilla tape if going this route

I can't even THINK about getting it out of storage yet as we are about to get dumped on again in the Boston area
