Nice! looking good!

paulofto 03-01-2018 06:18 AM

Stripes really aren't my thing but I gotta say that looks pretty damn good. Silver on red is cool. I wonder if red stripes on my arctic silver would look good?

NewArt 03-01-2018 06:55 AM

Silver on the red looks really good! In Paul's case, if I were to do a silver car I'd probably opt for grey (maybe Seal Grey) for a subtle ghost look. But that's my taste.

OneBoxFan 03-01-2018 07:20 AM

Looks great! Did you get that top shot with a drone?

No out my second story window. If Id try to use a drone I would crash it. LOL 😁

RedTele58 03-01-2018 08:28 AM

Looks great! Two thumbs up!

YellowS2000 03-01-2018 08:31 AM

Wow that look factory! Amazing job

Cunningr 03-01-2018 08:33 AM

I like the look and color! Nice job.

Nicely modified Boxster! The stripes and Toth rear spoiler work well with the Z top. Your Boxster might be my 2nd favorite now. :)
Next things to look for should be AerokitII front bumper and side skirts... they are 2 of my favorite mods, along with the Toth spoiler and GT3Tek rear diffuser.

BRAN 03-01-2018 10:38 AM

Yay, you are done!

now, maybe, just maybe sideskirts. But your Boxster looks great, even without them.

JBauer 03-01-2018 10:40 AM

Thanks

I do like the silver on red.

Dr. Acula 03-01-2018 01:17 PM

Looks good! From what I can tell, you'll never really be "done" with anything. You're a constant tinkerer, and I mean that as a sincere compliment. :-)

I think you need to find a subtle way to finish off the interface where the stripe stops at hood/ bumper line. It just looks slightly abrupt there. What do you think?

This is something I thru together in a few minutes. Took it off. I'm going to work on it.

Geof3 03-01-2018 02:38 PM

Looks great as it is! Leave the bumper cover alone!

I have no skills or talent in comparison to yours, but was thinking something like this might look good.

But, yeah, it looks good as-is, either way.

Jan, your car looks great! It has a great performance look without being over the top. Remember, less is more.

The Radium King 03-01-2018 05:25 PM

I like this one. I'd stay away from the outlining on the stripes that was posted previously, though.

I'm going to try that today. I know it needs something to finish it off.

JBauer 03-02-2018 06:03 AM

As requested and all before 10 AM!
Might need some fine tuning.

BRAN 03-02-2018 08:28 AM

JB, extend it till you reach the upper edge/dent and let's see if that does it.

I am pretty sure it is either they way you have it now (frunk gap) OR the upper edge.
(that'll keep the flow and adds smothness). That will be the plan for my stripes and I tested a lot before coming to that conclusion.

Above pics show wrappings of the lower spoiler/lip, which is TOO much IMO.
But they are good examples for a long hood design.

I think your right. Extended or leave it as it was. Pics soon 😀

Dr. Acula 03-02-2018 04:32 PM

My unsolicited 2 cents - I'd like to see the extension you made today shortened, so the curve of the extension is more similar to the curve of the front bumper.

Ive tried the shorter version, looks about as odd. Next I'm gonna take Bran's suggestion and run them down to the body line under the bumper. Had to order some more wrap. If that looks odd I may try all the way to the bottom,

The Radium King 03-05-2018 08:11 AM

i like all the way down, or just to the end of the hood. i think anything part-way onto the bumper cover is much more difficult to execute properly. all the way down is much more racecar, whereas just to the end of the hood is more of a club racer look.

I agree. As soon as my wrap gets here I'll be taking it all the way down and I think thst will do it. I hope.

I have the pewter hood ornament coming too 😀
