I've been kicked out of the Boxster forum on Facebook

Surprise surprise. Been banned from the Boxster forum on Facebook. Sad. Not for me
but for them.

You told them the truth about amber markers and how much nicer and sportier they really are?

You brought up the IMS topic?

Forget the exact title but it was something like "Boxster 986 enthusiasts" or similar.
Paul Towey was/is the moderator/founder of the group.

I enjoyed reading the posts even when they were mostly mods like z-tops and such but,
there were also an awful lot of people who were either selling their Boxster or never owned a Porsche product in their lives. Lot's of people buying dirt cheap from Amazon
exhaust products and crowing about the sound or complaining about the drone. A lot
of third party stereo installs but no concrete information much of the time.

The sad thing is, I never actually felt comfortable asking any questions. Either someone
would be insulted by the question or, no-one seemed to know the answers or where to
find the answers.

No idea, honestly, most of the members don't seem to know very much about their
cars. Lots of questions about oil, coolant, wheel spacers, wheel sizes, etc. But, not
a lot of concrete info. The founder actually recently posted a link to a YouTube video
from a guy "Beat the Bush" who has very little real knowledge himself as something
of value. Not sure why.

There are some very knowledgable people there but, they are the vast minority.

Nah, I actually prefer the clear markers on my 2001 S. Couldn't go there

I had engaged in a few IMS discussions though discussion is really giving them
far too much credit overall.

Posted a comment saying, "if my IMS goes, don't care. Might take a year to recover
but, the car isn't worth much anyway."

OK, I've had a couple of drinks, so take that into consideration: what is a "vast minority"? Did writing something like that get you banned?
