I'm pretty sure it was 7, but now you have me curious. I'll check into it and get back with you on that.

Hey, does ford or GM own Jag now? Maybe thats why Jag is better. Wishful thinking huh?

Yes, Ford bought Jaguar several years ago and implemented a superior quality control system. The result is that Jaguar cars are among the most reliable cars on the road these days. Complete 180 from the old days.

Unfortunately Jaguar loses money every year and Ford is looking to get rid of it now in an effort to stem their losses. Who knows what will happen to poor Jaguar. Maybe Toyota will pick them up.

Lexus is making everyone work a lot harder to keep up. Good for them.

I love my 95 LS400 and my mother just picked up a CPO 2001 ES300 from the same dealership where I got my CPO LS400. She said the same thing I did after I bought my car there...

"It's like your father and I were the only important people on the planet from the second we walked into the dealership to the minute we drove off the lot. No pressure, no manipulation... and the lattes were top notch too!"

I'm sure other car companies could compete in this way if they sold as many cars as Lexus and had Toyota behind them.

The thing is, they started to operate this way in 1990 when Lexus was brand new and Toyota much smaller.

Good stuff.

you obviously

didn't buy yours at Woodfield Lexus in Chicago....what a bunch of a#$holes they were....I went to look for the new IS 350 when it came out with intention to buy and they could care less I was there not to mention they made us park at the very corner of their parking lot while they displayed their used cars in the closet spots to the dealer.....

in the end I did win, I bought a boxster and they got a nast phone call from Costco corporate since I was using their car buying program....that poor salesman called to overly apologize twice....
