Porsche Sales per country (2005)

Thought this was interesting, it's a breakdown of new Porsches (all models) sold in 2005 by country. I guess that U.S. market is pretty important:

Isn't the number closer than you think? We have about 10x's the population that Canada has...right?

Amazing how Italians buy p-cars, the country of f-cars.
List cannot complete.
Or it does not include Cayenne sales.
Where is Russia? streets of Moscow are crowded by Cayennes, surely more than 21 :-)
Where is UAE?

Porsche does not maintain a dealer presence in certain countries and distributes the cars through "Porsche Importers". For example, in the UAE, Al Nabooda Automobiles LLC is the official Porsche Agent for Dubai and the Northern Emirates. My guess is the Importer numbers for unnamed entities were not included, as the only country with an importer agent that is included on the list is South Africa where the importer is Porsche Centre South Africa.

Then again, I should have noted the caveat that the list was compiled by JD Powers, which has been known to f*ck things up pretty badly from time to time.

95% percent of all Russian P-cars are Cayennes.

Italians love sports cars and they love lower maintenace ones especially!
