And don't be afraid to change your own oil. The worst you'll do is make an oil slick in your driveway. Just YouTube it about 50 times first!

While a DIY oil/filter change is a 1 out of 10 for difficulty doing it safely ratchets it up a little . If you are placing the car in the air make sure you do it safely . Unfortunately there are enough stories on the web of guys being crushed/killed under cars . Not trying to scare you just respect the potential for danger if you do something stupid .

Did something like that once with a 2' level, no one got hurt. We could probably have a whole thread about tools left in the car after working on it.
