Where to get a steering wheel recovered in Alcantara

I have seen a few threads where folks have sent steering wheels off to get them recovered in leather or other materials, extra padding etc added. I am thinking of sending off my steering wheel (3 Spoke wheel in black leather) to be covered in black alcantra with a small white (or other color?) stripe added at the top, and with platinum stitching to match the other interior thread in my car (black interior).

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to send it? Or any recommendations on colors/styles/threads or recommendations for adding thickening or stuff like that?

Anyone have any custom wheels? (Chuck I have seen your threads, looks great)

Something like the below, although I am not sure what color this alcantara is (or the wheel for that matter, I am kind of color blind)

Or this one, looks like it has been thickened and a flat bottom added somehow?

I have had several wheels reworked and recovered by Carsdream in Poland. Amazing quality and a great price. Anywhere from a 4 to 8 week turn around.

Just had my wheel recovered with alcantra and I love it.
I had it thickened and added a center stripe.
Wish I would have went with a brighter thread and stripe but they did a great job.

Took a bit over a 1 1/2 weeks from the time I sent to the time I received it back.

I sent it to Dallas Custom Steering Wheel

Here are the ones I had completed for Carsdream. With shipping it was in the neighborhood of $225. I had them thickened too. I would bet they wouldn't charge anything extra for alcantra.

Sorry I don't have a pic of it installed on the car (it's out getting the bumper repainted).
The cost was about $320.00 but I had it thickened, center stripe added, and alcantra to the top of the wheel.

I would post a picture but I need to find a photo hosting site....

I will second Chuck's recommendation for Cardreams.com. I have had several wheels recovered by them including one in Alcantera. I have also had them thicken the padding, ad thumb rests and ad a top ring, VERY professional work at imo a very fair price. Turn around time and shipping hassles can be an issue but I have had all of mine done during the winter when the car was laid up anyway.

And Yes, They can do airbags, you have to remove the cover though which isn't too tough.

A good thread to peruse........
