Temperature

I just got back to So. Cal (Palm Desert) My car sat here for two months. Battery was a little low but started. Took it out for a drive (114 degs.) Temp gauge never got over 190 but the light to the left of the 280 temp started to blink. I checked the manual and did everything I should I checked the coolant level and it looked ok. The fan kicked on in the rear so it is not that. Anyone have any ideas what else to check?

Bill

Maybe a faulty thermostat....... maybe... and the cars other sensors detected it was getting too hot? I dont know but that would scare the piss out of me. Just call your local porsche dealership and explain it to them, too bad its a saturday.

Just a little more information. The car never got over 190 even after the light started blinking.

I had this issue. Turned out it was a faulty sensor that monitors the coolant level.

Could be that.
