Not that bad a job. Before the Boxster, I had never worked on any of my cars in the past (other than oil changes). If I can do it, almost anyone can. With all the online resources these days, I did this myself without a lot of issues. You just need to make sure you have the space, the time, and the tools. For obvious reasons, I would never have attempted this without a back-up vehicle.

Also, if your water pump/thermostat are more than a few years old, this is the time to replace them. Doing the one job gives greater access to do the other.
