Since you now have an excellent knowledge of the dash internals of both a 2000 and a 2003, ...
Would it have been possible to switch the dashboard and reinforcing bar (to get the glove box), while retaining the original center stack (with the slanted switches in the 3 part horseshoe), and the original center duct arrangement?
In other words, kind of the opposite of what you did.
