Clamshell not Flush w/Body when Top is Down

2003 Boxster S

I noticed that my clamshell isn't going all the way flush with the body when I lower the top. Seems to be in line with the quarter panels, but not the trunk, if that matters. With the trunk open I can see that the plastic pins are not hitting the stops at the bottom edge of the clamshell, so that's not the problem. The dash light goes out leading me to believe that the car thinks top is fully down. Top operates normally other than that, no strange noises. Top is not hitting anything in the well on the way down (to the best of my knowledge)

I assume that part of the mechanism needs adjustment.
  1. Where are these adjustment points
  2. how do I make adjustments (trial and error?)
  3. I assume that there are adjustment points on both sides -- is it likely that only one needs adjsutment and how do I decide which to adjust?

Thanks

Went out to my Boxster yesterday and, wouldn't you know it, when I put the top down the clamshell was once again flush with the trunk. So I had to delay investigating the problem

But last night I had a thought. Referring to the guide you included (3. The nut and slotted screw...) could it be that the locking nut isn't tightened down and sometimes it finds a position where the clamshell sits just right and sometimes doesn't? Thoughts?
