Hemmings Sports & Exotic
If this doesn't belong here, my apologies.
I received my May 2017 issue of Hemmings Sports & Exotic magazine and was sad to see that it will the the last issue of what I considered one of the best car magazines. There were regularly articles and items regarding Porsche's various models as well as auction results and buying guides. I thought it was a very well done magazine.
They did put their 12 years of archives on line:

Yup. I received my last issue a few days ago. I'm sorry to se it go. There were always very good articles on rare and unique cars of all makes and vintage.

I almost cried.
This was by far, IMHO, the best car magazine in existence.
In regards to the other car magazines, if I read one more stupid-ass comparo where the winner is selected by the size of the trunk or number of cup holders, I will slit my wrists.
Last, like HSE, every car magazine should publish a chart showing what cars the editors/authors actually own and drive.

Yes. Very sad indeed. My favorite magazine for sure. What a pity.

Very sad. From the May 2017 issue:
"We had a good run, and now it's over. With this issue, number 141, Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car ceases publication.
Why? It's not for lack of readership. Since the day we launched HS&EC nearly 12 years ago, starting with a readership of zero, the magazine's circulation has done nothing but rise. We've grown to more than 55,000 enthusiastic subscribers, with a renewal rate that's the envy of the industry. For that, we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
The reason we have to do this, I'm told, is financial. Fear not--Hemmings Motor News, the company, is financially strong, and turns a healthy profit. But the business case for this magazine no longer makes sense."
I'm not in the magazine business but it sure seems like they were doing well and had plenty of advertisers. It's done so I suppose it doesn't matter.

Wow, I've been a subscriber for a long time! My subscription runs through November 2018, I'd rather see them keep going than worry about a refund!
