Interesting list. I'd like to see model years associated with it. I'm shocked that the Subaru Forester is 2nd on the list. My 2001 model ate wheel bearings, had bad coil pack, and still has a vague CEL occasionally, and bad paint. Not to mention the stop leak required by the mfr. to prevent head gasket failure. There are indeed many ways to measure reliability.

Statistically, we really don't know what the population is of each model. Some of the more problematic vehicles are more prone to get 3rd party warranties than others. Cost of repairs would be another driving factor leading some vehicles to be over represented in the total population of third party warranties. Also, the number of claims may have little to do with the dollar value of the repairs, which I think would be more telling.
