but what a puzzlewit that guy must be...
...trying to peel off the wood trim...
...for fake carbon to boot

a specialist might be able to restore it, or try eBay...costs will be probably the same.

I was wondering what the PO was thinking too, esp since this must have been an expensive option. However this morning while poking around on the affected parts, it seems the glue could be letting go in places. Nothing more ginky than a trim piece partially disconnected. Will see if Goo Gone will remove the old glue, then sand and have painted. Think I'll go with a replacement black horseshoe and center console surround.
