Saw a video on Youtube of the Dragon Tail road while somebody driving the full route.
Tail of the Dragon looks kind of boring to me. Speed limits seems to be strict.
Quite happy that i live in Europe. This summer i'll do a tour from Lake Constance / Germany to Nice / France and back. 5 days, 2.000 Km, 24+ haute alpine passes in a row. Believe me, that's the real fun with a Porsche sports car.
Regards, Markus

That was epic. Spring of 2007. I had just gotten the very first PSE available in the USA installed on the 987S. Derb, NickCats, Patrick, your buddy in the Toyota, and a few others. Will always remember that trip. And we left nothing on the Tree Of Shame.

I've done both, epic drives in the U.S. including the Dragon and drives similar as you describe in Europe. All great fun and different from each other with none really better than the other, just different. A video does not do the Dragon justice, you have drive/ride it yourself. I enjoy both Europe and the US and I am glad to have grown up in the US and spent alot of time in Germany and including driving many great roads in both. Growing up in SoCal and spending alot of time in Germany gave me alot of exposure to some great car culture!

@Porsche9
think you're right. It's hard to tell from looking a video how a road is when driving it. Shurely it's fun to drive the Tail of the Dragon. But all this traffic and police and speed limits seem to limit the fun (to me).
@Nine8Six
Well at 24 alp pass roads you shurely have roads like that.

Col de la Iseran (2764m, 12%)
Col du Galibier (2642m, 14%)
