ah! so you are a rider. You are also flying airplane (pilot), race bikes, drive sport/convertible cars, and live under the sun all year long. Interesting fellas on this forum I tell ya... really missed this place

Boxtaboy, helmet or not, any direct head hit above 20mph will send you to the nearest ICU where you'll wake up 11.5hrs post accident with a F N plastic tube running inside your dick. Medical insurance saved me in my case, not the helmet particularly lolll

"Thankfully I do not remember anything other than seeing my bike getting smaller and smaller under me... literally lost conscious on the impact."

We're blessed that we're wired so that we don't remember those really bad things. I had four accidents in six years. Two I don't remember. Two I do - they just required screws in shoulders. I was 59 for the first. Do that stuff when you're young. There came a point for me where healing pain/time became unacceptable. My biggest hope is that one day the nerves below my knees will reconnect so I can feel the bottoms of my feet again.

Ouch. Depending on the lesion, nerves do/should reconnects (1mm per week if what I've read before is correct). Takes time, years in many cases but it does come back. Guess that is the ultimate patience test. Sorry to hear bud :/

Thanks brother. That 675 is ultralight, stay safe man

Nice one, Boxtaboy. I'll have to vote for the 986's shapes. Great compare/visuals btw.

Absolutely love those 5x spokes SSR wheels also.

Thanks bud. Love what you did with yours too. It's nice to see such nicely modded Boxsters on this forum.

@Nine8six- I used to ride in college in a state where they don't require you to wear helmets. Thankfully, I never got into any accidents, but crazy now that I think about it. Glad you are ok and are recovering.
