Edit: BTW, the $60 shifter itself, is no different than the $300 B&M product. they are both made from a similar anodized aluminum.
even if the B&M is from higher grade aluminum (which i doubt), it still doesn't make any difference.
the smoothness and precision of the shifter is in the bearings.
