Is there a cover/pate for the spark plugs?

I don't have a cover protecting my plugs/coils from debris. Wondering if there is a cover I'm missing or should I fab one up.

No, the car did not come with one, and quite plainly, it is not really needed.

Garage
the 996 engines comes with a cover, that acts as a heat shield.
maybe it can be retrofitted to the 986. (part 37)

The 996 cam covers are drilled and tapped for it. I don't believe most Boxster covers are (going from memory).

In any case, the 996 has them because of the rearward engine location and the probability of water and slush being thrown up by the tires. With the Boxster engine more forward, it shouldn't be an issue, particularly in AZ.
