LEDs watt weight to alternator HP

Do signal lights work with led ligths? In the old days we did not use them in hot rods because they did not work because the led lights would not put enough load on the flasher to blink, I guess in a boxster the flasher is electronic and not electromechanic?

If you replace Boxster turn signal lights with LEDs you have to swap to an electronic switch relay ( CF14JL-02 Flasher) which accepts 12V range 0.2A - 20A.

you also need to make sure that you got the polarity right.
on regular bulbs it doesn't matter, on LED it does.
on the boxster the external contact is the positive, and the center is ground.
opposite than most vehicles and of the shelf LED bulbs.
this is the back plate on a boxster.




and this is a standard LED bulb i got from autozone i believe.
