Thread locker for studs

I seem to be taking my wheels off so much that it makes sense to swap out the lug bolts for studs and nuts

Do I need to use thread locker on the studs on the hub?
If so, is blue Ok, or do I need to use red?

I used blue/medium on my studs, and haven't had any trouble with them coming loose during wheel changes. Even with red [edit: strike the red, see below] you would be OK when you need to remove the studs (jam two lug nuts together on the stud and remove), although you can leave them on for things like rotor changes and even wheel bearings depending on the method you use to pull the hub (I had to remove 1 of the 5 studs to use the Sir tool puller)

I got these:
M14x1.5 ACS Race Series Studs - M14x1.5 Race Stud - 65mm
M14x1.5 ACS Race Series Studs — Track-Studs.com

If I had it to do over I would have gotten the 80's, the 65's are good, even with spacers up to 7mm (possibly more but 7mm is all I ever tried). I was afraid the 80's would stick out too much and look funny, but after seeing the 65's I don't think the 80's would stik out too far, it is only 15mm more.

These are nice too:
M14x1.5 'Bullet Nose' race stud — Track-Studs.com

If you can find his threads on RL, username apex something, maybe apex competition, he often has a free shipping discount code.

I love my studs, it really does make it easier to change the wheels and I like the look of it too

You should only use red Loctite on something you will never take apart again, otherwise use blue.
