Contact the seller and ask for pics. Granted, it'll cost you twice as much as $4,500, but it might work. Getting a good PPI before you agree on price is essential. Especially if you don't get documented service records. You know what they say about cheap (fill in the blank German luxury or sports) cars?

Seeing this makes me wonder if the Boxster will follow the ways of the BMW E30. I was an E30 owner before picking up my Boxster, and loved everything about the car. I had driven nearly a dozen of them, some in perfect shape, and some with clapped out suspensions, and they all felt better than most things I'd driven before.

I bought my 87 325i Cabrio in 2009 for $2,200 and sold it for nearly $6k last year, which was market value for one in good shape. The E30 market has exploded in the US during the last 2-3 years. I wonder if the Boxster will do that some day. Not as an investment, by any means, but if they'll get priced slightly out of the hands of 18 y/o kids looking to buy their first Porsche before graduation.
