Very easy and cheap to do, my car had a damaged keyfob and I followed the instructions on the post here, look for " 3rd Party Keyless Entry DIY (Why Not?) " mine works great. what it does is that you take an affordable simple alarm and install it in tandem with the existing car central system and that's it.
