power windows

I have a 1999 base boxster. When the hardtop is on the windows work fine, but when I took off and put up convertible the windows only go up 3/4th of the way and stop. Any ideas? Thanks.

Probably the microswitch. As a test push the switch with your finger in where the latch locates in the windshield frame. The windows will probably roll up. If so, you can replace the micro switch or place a piece of thick tape onto the switch which may work for a while. Do a search on the micro switch for more detailed info.
