Overheat

I replace the tank with Pelican 189$ OE supplier and I did a complete system flush after work is done the car is overheated, after 35 mins drive I turn it off, when I checked the tank I saw water in the reservoir tank just go down fast and go up again, after few second I saw no water in the reservoir tank, when I cheker the cap the mechanician didn't fix it well. Now I pup up with the rest of water the mechanician have gave me. I don't what will happen, I don't know if I should drive it again. Do you have an idea guys what to do? Why it overheated after flushing the coolant system? Now I think air get into the system because the resevoir tank was empty after I got home. The guy didn't put enough water??
Thanks for any ideas guys

It is possible that the system had or now has air in the system. Check the oil to make sure it is not gaining water/mixing. Then search for information on 'bleeding the coolant system'.

Do you speak French natively. If so: Je ne sius pas parle Francias. Some other members here may be able to give you a better answer in Francias.

I'm french if you feel more comfortable speaking french

Looks like the guy didn't bleed the system at all, on some cars you can just go by filling up the system and let it do the job. But not on the Boxster!

Refill the reservoir and bleed it: Install 3rd Radiator and Coolant System Bleeding Instructions Porsche DIY

Ben

I have "burped" my system to remove air bubbles and haven't had a problem. I pull up the metal clip and drive around the neighborhood.

No prob

Bonne route!

Ben
