Given the hard time James & Richard give Jeremy about his car failures (especially the running joke about his Ford GT) it's no suprise he gives some back about the Boxster...
Not to mention that he took some jabs at the Cayman cos his producer bought one 'for investment reasons'. Still, I've seen some glowing reviews from him about the 911 and the Carrera GT

They are not anti-Porsche really. They are just more anti Boxster because it's not a real Porsche, which is what the 911 and Carerra GT are. They don't like the Cayman or Cayenne either, can't say I blame them really. The cayman is super ugly from the back ughhhh...

Funny tho when they put it up against the Z4 and S2000 the Porsche was the fastest around the track, and that was a Base non S model.

Just to supplement the very helpful information 986Jim provided, you'll most likely have trouble playing .avi files in Windows Media Player or Quicktime, due to Codecs issues (which can be corrected). However, I would just download "VLC Media Player", which is free from numerous sources on the web, if you want to watch it on your computer. I agree that a 16:9 aspect computer monitor improves the viewing experience.

Did anyone see the Boxster S vs SLK55 AMG episode where Clarkson drove both cars while people shot at him with the military's version of laser-tag?

Even though he said the Boxster handled nicer, had a quicker time through the course, and got him tagged fewer times than the SLK, he'd still rather have the SLK.

Clarkson's a HP guy, not a handling guy. You can see it in his choice of cars.

I saw that one. Clarkson actually owns an SLK too.

Pick up an LG LDA-531 dvd player. It's very easy to convert to region free so you can play any region and downloaded DVD's (not that we do that) and also full DIVX compatiability so you can watch .AVI and MPG files on the dvd player. It also plays MP3 on CD and DVD and JPG DVD's so you can view photo's on it. Basically it will read any damn thing you put on the disc which is great. Most dvd players dont do that.

Also it will up-convert to 480p/720p/1080i through both HDMI and Component out cables which is also quite rare, for you HD guys this is a dream come true.

I watch them all on my Plasma TV in proper 16:9 and it's fantastic just like watching normal HDTV, the quality is quite good. Nothing worse than sitting in front of your computer vs. the couch with a beer.

I don't know about that Jim, my computer monitor is 16:9 and umm...pretty big.

But I am suprised you're not watching the vids on your cell phone or your Phatbox.

Can I just tell ya that the first three Top Gears have been some of the funniest I can remember? The car-boat conversion was pretty amusing. I thought Clarson's Toyboata was pretty "slick".
