i give it to it good ALL THE TIME! i constantly keep it in the power band and since i got the new exhaust i can count the number of times i've put it into 5th (5 speed manual), i just love the sound and unless i can keep it over 3k i dont upshift, last thing i wanna do is lug the engine, what a crime in such a car.
gas economy? who cares.. i'm not gonna miss out on enjoying the car for an extra 20$ a week, maybe less, even if it is my daily.
125k miles out of which 15k are mine and i wouldnt call them hard because that's the way this engine was meant to run. i think they are very tough engines. i used to have an S2000 and thought that thing can take a beating but the more "pretentious" Boxster can rev with the best of them!
NOTHING more depressing than seeing a Porsche granny driven, brings a tear to my eye..
