I just did an oil change and the best I could find was ~$26 for a 5qt jug of Mobil 1 0w40 at Walmart. ~$5.20/qt

The prices vary wildly on Mobil 1 for some reason. I saw plenty for ~$10/qt and even a 55 gal barrel of it that worked out to $12/qt.

What up with the mad pricing? I guess I should keep looking for sales and buy it when a sale comes around and stock up.

Every now and then walmart has Mobil 1 for about 22 a 5 qt jug. Same with the Castrol. You just have to wait for the sale.

Much hotter deal. $14 for 5qts after rebate. Grabbed 2 jugs, thinking of using a friend's address for another 2.

Ugh. I would rather buy at AutoZone than deal with the Walmarts around here. A couple bucks is not worth my sanity.

AutoZone's sale this week is 5 qts Mobil 1 AND a mobil 1 oil filter for $33.99 - $15.00 rebate brings you out to $18.99 for oil and filter. BUT of course, they don't have Mobil 1 Oil Filters for our 986.

Oreilly's $27.95 - $12 rebate = $15.95
