Steering Wheel Options

There are many things I love about my 02 Boxster but steering feel is not one of them. I'm in SoCal, does anybody know of a upholstery shop in LA area that caters to P car owners to enhance thickness on our wheels? I find the stock wheel so skinny in my big hands. I do like the 3 spoke design, but think it could use another 1/8 in of bolstering.

I have had CarsDream in Poland do four wheels for me. Top quality and great price. You can have it thickened, different leather options and different stitching. Very nice craftsmanship.

Hi Chuck, Now that's what I'm talkin about. Gorgeous wheel. Is your 3 spoke actually black or a shade grayer? Love it. How much did you have yours thickened? It looks thicker. Thanks for the link.

By the way just realized you are the one who sold me your rear speaker shelf. I replaced the speakers with Pioneers and it's great. Your Avatar gave it away. Your car is gorgeous.

Thanks. I can't recall how much I had them thicken it. I believe they have a standard when you ask for a thicker wheel. Both wheels are black. I was so impressed with their work I had them di a steering wheel for my 2001 Tundra. It makes such a big difference.

Nice to hear the rear speaker shelf worked out well for you.

I made the decision this week to go to a thicker, perforated wheel and went with this one Porsche 996 T96 Sport Steering Wheel Carrera Turbo C4S 986 Black Stitcing | eBay I paid more than I wanted to but it will freshen up the car a bit. I almost went with a wheel from these guys but went with the other in the end. This wheel was $650. Dallas Custom Steering Wheel
