Removing trunk harnesses

I'm probably just a giant idiot, but how exactly are these harnesses disconnected? I don't want to risk damaging something and having to pay $700 for a new engine harness.

Here is the harnesses in question

This is the connector under the seat, which is basically the same.
Very easy once you know what you are doing.
As Woody suggested, at times it calls for a flathead screwdriver to help the tab slide sideways.
