That is pretty amazing. Imagine the number of labor hours that represents. The shorter wheelbase with the modern power plant/HP should make for interesting handling. I wonder if it was a commissioned project or just to many LaBatt's on a cold winter day idea?

Kind of a bummer that they call it the 'boxter' most of the time. But very cool.

That's very cool. 3003 alum. is very soft, easy for door dings! I wonder what it will way when finished?

That is awesome, I make 356 replicas but with traditional aircooled engines and fiberglass bodies, that aluminum forming is an amazing time consuming job

What gets me is the interior. The mix of classic 550 cues and boxster running gear somehow looks like an improvement on either individually.

My father continually jokes about buying buster up boxsters and making them into 550s, I've always argued against it proportionally until I saw this.

Calling it a Boxster may have resulted in a "friendly" call from the legal department at Porsche.

Very Nice! I remember a story in either Excellence or Panorama about a Boxster modified to look like a Karmann Ghia. This is a much better use for a Boxster!

That looks great. All that needs to be addressed is the headlights.

Wasn't this in Road & Track but instead they had full sized 18" wheels.

Thanks for sharing BigJake!

It's simply amazing the dedication and craftsmanship.

I guess that if you have to ask how much one of these it may cost, it's because you can't afford it...
