996 guage transplant to 986 in RI, MA, CT?

Are there any members out there that have done the 996-986 cluster swap that is willing to help out a fellow member in RI with a 99 Bosxster I am attempting this swap and looking for a local resource to "speak" to as in on the phone or a in person meeting to work on this swap. I have both clusters and a eprom programmer but cannot figure out how to read the 996 cluster.
