I had the cluster in my 2001 Boxster out when I installed the spoiler switch and then did the 986 to 996 swap. I am pretty comfortable with the swap and would be glad to help you out. However, I know nothing about the eprom programmer. I had the odometer professionally reset by
ODO-PRO.COM - Odo-Pro.com - The Digital Odometer Professionals. The 996 cluster was plug and play for me. I'll PM you my phone number.
