Thats alot of recent work

I used Refined Motorsports in Etobicoke.
I now live in Oakville so if you do get the PPI done here I'll make sure to stop by
EU is about 15 mins and just closer to the used dealer and highly recommended with Pcar enthusiasts on Rennlist
Oakville is about 45 mins plus The traffic to me is annoying going cross town but you wont mind it at all in your potential new toy

I prefer an indy over a dealer. I always feel dealers over scrutinize repairs and issues. But this may be in your negotiation benefit

I just ran the VIN through a decoder on line.

WP0CB29812U660443 Porsche Boxster 2002 - VinDecoderz.com is a free VIN number lookup and vehicle history report provider

And it says the mileage should be approx. 212,000k.
The odometer is only showing 156,xxxk

Could the vin decoder be wrong or is the dealer playing games?

How can I find out which is right?

I'm pretty sure the vin decoder just estimates mileage based on the age of the car and average amount of driving most people do per year. Theres no way it would actually know the mileage just from decoding the vin.

if its an ontario car spend $20 on the used vehicle package. Best money you'll ever spend

plus free decoders arent accurate. Carfax etc have actual mileage when stickers are issued so every 24months

If there aren't a lot of KMs since the IMS change, I would be very leary. Dealers do not proactively change IMS. They usually only change it to hide one that has already started to go....and the damage could already be done.
Take it for a spin for sure....but don't fall in love till you have thoroughly checked it out.

But definitely find out who did the IMS and why. No one proactively does the IMS and then sells it. They sometimes do it to hide an issue to sell it.
