The output is different both in color and intensity.

However, considering the amounts you quoted, it's not THAT much better!

Get the clear ones. Spend the balance of the money on a new stereo system. You can enjoy that even in Spore's horrid traffic jams.

Ivan, I have one more thought for you.

The clear lamp price is about right. They're $800 used or so here on Ebay.

The litronics can be purchased new from a couple of sources here in the US for $1400.00. Then you could get them shipped to you in Spore and save a wad of cash.

BTW, you need to dig for, find and connect with the other Boxster owner on this forum from Spore and visit with him in person. Make them friends and you can share all sorts of good information about stuff like this!

Do a word search for "singapore" and you'll find the threads with his posts in them.

I sure wish I was headed your way because I'd just bring a set to you to save you the money. But, I have no immediate plans to come to the island with the best food in the world.

I bought clear halogens on Ebay for $500. Did the de-ambering of the inside reflector and put in the silver bulbs that blink orange. Sold them for $550 about 6 months later.

I got my HID litronics on a Brandywine group buy for $1100, haven't deambered them yet. Need to add the clear vinly stone gurard. Had a close call with a piece of concrete falling off a bridge. Soooo Lucky it got the clear triangle and not the headlight housing. One inch was The difference between $45 and $500 insurance deductible.

p.s.
The Litronics look very cool when they are lit up vs. the yellowish light on the Halogens. BUT if you live in an well lit city area its not much of a difference. I was say no difference at all. For the money paid I consider this a 100% cosmetic change. I rarely drive out in the country but if I did it probably would be much better. For me I'm not so sure if it was worth the extra $600 but a very close call. I still have the old ones so I can sell them seperately.
