Help, refrigerant leaking through ac condensation drain.

The drain that is under the passenger footwell is leaking refrigerant....where is the refrigerant coming from and what could be causing this???

Thanks

First, how do you know it is a refrigerant leak? If it is, it is coming from the AC heat exchanger inside the heater box.

I think it is refrigerant oil actually...by the smell, look and feel I am quite sure it is refrigerant.....is there some other fluid that would be able to exit from that drain?

If your evaporator is leaking you are facing a big project.
You can verify that by adding die to the refrigerant, and light the puddle under the car with a UV flslight.
Anyway, this is the fix.

Thanks for the info..I will add the dye to confirm your thought. Looks like a huge project but that's what winters are for.

Thanks very much.
