Could just be a bad connection to the sensor. Measure the remaining thickness of your pads to determine if replacement is warranted. Going by memory now, but I think the minimum thickness allowed is 2mm. Check that.

While you are at it, have a look at your rotors. If the lip on the edge is more than 1mm then they need to be replaced too.

And just ignore anyone chiming in about how the lip on worn rotors can cut your brake sensor wires. They are just messing with you.
