AOS , I think it's almost time

This past weekend I could smell a bit of oil at the rear of the car. The original 2001 is still in there to my knowledge and has never failed me. My Mobil 1 only has 2100 miles on the last change and is still nice and brown. I have also noticed a puff of smoke now and then that seems to be happening more often that it did 3 years ago. As a preemptive strike I want to change it before dead of winter....who has the best price on a real OEM unit, no chinese knockoffs for me on this,

Thanks

Dwight

I think around 130 for your version. Make sure you get the larger one for the 97-02 boxster.

Apparently it's not time

With the engine warm and idling I can remove the cap with not much effort...the idle changes once I remove the cap but I put it back and it goes back to normal.

Mine went out on my 2001 about 5 months ago at 58K miles. Replaced it myself. Worst job ever! I've got small hands. I don't know how anyone with hands larger than mine would be able to get into the areas you need to reach to replace it.

Yup, it was a one-handed job for me.
