All my coolant is on the ground.

Help. On my way to work this morning I got a "coolant level low" message. Pulled off freeway within a mile, stopped the car. Checked the level and sure enough. It was very low/out.

Bought some coolant, poured it in. Came right back out. The trunk is dry. The temp didn't get above the 0 so I am not worried about that. Any ideas?

Water pump first. Check there.

Had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago

It's a pretty easy DIY. Also replace the bolts, they are under $5.00

Thanks for the info guys. It was the water pump. This goes beyond my abilities, so $799.25 later, and the problem is repaired. Plus $200 for the tow. Damn.

Can't complain really, it is the first real repair I have ever had to make (not maintenance related).

Can't wait to get it back from the shop.

Glad it's a easy common fix. Check motor mount and install low temp stat. Flush coolant.
