Here are some beauties on my Lapis Blue 2001 after I bought the car, before I had them removed:
When I took it down to the detail place who had their PDR guy do the work, of course we found at least 2-3 more dings hiding away in various spots. (And once you know they're there, yes, they do bug you - so I saw no sense in having any fewer than ALL OF THEM removed).
If removed nicely, if there is anything left of the old ding, it ends up looking like the rest of the factory "orange peel" paint texture.
And now that there is not a single ding on my car, I park very far away to try to keep it like that..
I think this is part of the healthy "Porsche lifestyle."
(And I don't mind walking a bit further - it's good exercise.
